Top Songwriter Chart: July 2012

Dr Luke and Katy Perry

Songwriter and producer extraordinaire Dr Luke has taken out the #1 spot on Songtrust’s Top Songwriter Chart for July. He’s joined by co-writer Henry Walter, who saw huge chart success with Katy Perry’s Wide Awake and Rihanna’s Where Have You Been. Dr Luke is the first songwriter to hold top spot twice in one year – he did so in January.

Our chart highlights the amazing versatility and creativity of the minds behind the music. To find out more about how we calculate this chart using Billboard Radio Songs and Digital Songs data, check out the full methodology.
