Spotify has just acquired the music discovery app Tunigo.  The Tunigo app will remain available separately for now.  Tunigo’s staff will move to Spotify’s Stockholm or New York offices.

Jay-Z recently announced the signing of a worldwide publishing administration deal with Warner/Chappell Music.  Warner/Chappell will immediately administer all of Jay-Z’s catalog starting with his 2008 music through any future releases, while the rest of his catalog will transfer in the coming months.  Warner/Chappell will also have access to the catalog of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation artists.

Del Bryant, President and CEO of BMI, has decided to retire in June 2014.  Bryant has been working with BMI for over 41 years.  The BMI board of directors have formed a committee to chose a new President and CEO.
